Product description
The Edradour distillery began in 1825 as a cooperative of local farmers.
Its name most likely comes from the Gaelic "Eodar dhá Dhobhar" which translates to "place between the rivers". The distillery is based in Perthshire, near the town of Pitlochry, and since 2002 has been owned by Signatory Vintage Ltd, which offers a dozen or so limited editions each year aged (or finished) in different types of wood. The whisky presented here, distilled in 2011, was aged in seven Oloroso sherry butts (first and second fill) for over 12 years; bottled at cask strength (57.8% abv) and without chill filtration on 12th May 2023 in an edition of 4663 bottles.
