Blair Athol Distillery is the main supplier of malt distillate for Bell's blends , hence the supply of single malt there is negligible.

The Flora & Fauna series debuted in the early nineties at the initiative of United Distillers (later Diageo) and the 12-year-old Blair Athol presented here had a prominent place in it. It is a great example of the influence of sherry casks on whisky, without its palette being dominated by wine notes.

Aroma : a beautiful combination of sherry and malt, hazelnuts, gingerbread with dried fruit, a delicate note of peat.

Palate : dried fruit, honey, candied ginger, orange peel, raisins, oak and sherry.

Finish : medium long, raisins, prunes, oak.
