Product description
Only a lucky few can share their own tasting notes for Ben Wyvis, the distillery began in 1965 as part of Invergordon’s Moffat distillery complex and became history just 12 years later.
Editions of this single malt were incredibly rare, the fingers of one hand could count them all. The one presented here is called Final Resurrection and contains whisky distilled in 1972. After 27 years of maturation, the contents of three barrels were enough to fill 471 bottles.
Aroma : intense, with a strong note of malt, vanilla, juicy orchard fruit, lemon grass and oak.
Taste: perfectly balanced, toffee, oak, heather honey, pears, blades of dry grass.
Finish : long and warming, creamy and buttery with a delicate herbal and oak accent.
