Product description
Glenmorangie Distillery (Gaelic for “Valley of Tranquility”) has been producing whisky since 1843 and currently ranks in the top five best-selling single malts in the world with 6.3 million bottles produced annually.
The plant is equipped with six pairs of stills (the highest of its kind in Scotland) and produces over 6 million liters of alcohol per year. Allegedly, the entire production is bottled as single malt and not a drop of distillate reaches companies that make blended whisky. The whisky presented here was aged in cognac barrels (French oak) for 14 years and bottled in 1999 at 43% abv. Only 850 bottles were sold.
