Product description
Glenturret began life in 1775 as the Hosh Distillery, but records show that whisky had been produced on the property for 60 years before that.
The last change of ownership took place in 2019, when the Lalique Company and one of its major shareholders, Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss, bought it and its 1 million-litre stockpile of whisky from the Edrington Group. Glenturret was the spiritual home (and one of the components) of the Famous Grouse blend, but that was not included in the contract, and the new owners intend to focus on single malt editions. The 12-year-old edition presented here dates back to the late 1980s, in our opinion, when the Glenturret Distillery was owned by Rémy Cointreau.
