Product description
Pulteney Distillery has been producing whisky since 1826, with a 20-year break between 1930 and 1951.
Until the end of the 20th century, the local single malt was introduced to the market through Gordon & MacPhail (in the Distillery Labels series ), and it was not until two years after the takeover of the plant by Inver House Distillers, in 1997, that the official 12-year-old edition was released. The 17-year-old version debuted in 2004, composed of distillates aged mainly in bourbon casks (approx. 90%), the remaining 10% was allocated to Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. In recent years, sales of the Old Pulteney brand have increased to 550,000 bottles per year, which places it in the top twenty best-selling single malts .
