Product description
Amrut Distilleries Ltd is headquartered in Bangalore and produces approximately 50 million bottles of distilled spirits annually, mainly rum, brandy, gin, vodka and local blended whisky.
In addition to the distillation columns, the plant has one pair of small stills capable of distilling about 200,000 liters of spirit per year. The single malt Amrut debuted in 2004 and is currently available in over twenty countries. The hot and humid climate accelerates maturation, but also increases the so-called Angel's share, up to 14% per year, which is why the whisky is usually aged for no longer than four years. Amrut Bagheera (Black Panther) is a proposal from September 2020. After maturation in traditional oak barrels, the whisky was finished in sherry barrels. The set includes two tasting glasses next to the bottle.
