John Distilleries Ltd is one of the major players in the Indian alcoholic beverages market.

The company was founded in 1992 by Paul P. John, the son of a wealthy grower, producer and distributor of alcoholic beverages. John Distilleries currently owns three distilleries and eighteen facilities blending and processing its own spirits. The company's biggest market hit is the Original Choice blended whisky produced with the use of a distillate from sugar molasses and recording sales of over 10 million cases per year. In 2008, the company began producing single malt whisky in one pair of stills, another is to be installed in spring 2017. Paul John Classic Select is distilled in the company's distillery in Goa, it is a completely unpeated whisky aged in bourbon barrels and bottled without cold filtration.

Nose: fresh and fruity, apples, pears, grapes, honey, toffee, chocolate block, notes of grass and oak shavings.

Taste : lots of fruit, cherries, pears, plums, raisins, toffee, milk chocolate, honey, traces of cinnamon and pepper.

Finish : medium long, fruity and oaky with a hint of spice.
