Product description
Filibuster Distillery was founded in 2013 in Washington, D.C., near the Capitol, and a year later moved to Maurertown in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.
The owners, the Dilawri family, were inspired by Scottish producers who were maturing their whiskey. Filibuster Dual Cask Rye is distilled from a mash of 95% rye and 5% malted barley at the MGP distillery in Indiana. After maturing for 2-3 years in American oak barrels, the whiskey is finished in French oak Chardonnay barrels. In 2014, Filibuster Dual Rye won a silver medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Our bottle is part of batch no. 13 of 2,783 bottles.
