Product description
Milford is a New Zealand single malt originating from the Willowbank distillery (also known as the Wilson Distillery), built by the Baker family in 1974, which closed in 1997.
Seagram, then a major player in the spirits market, took over the plant in 1981 and began promoting its single malt under the name Lammerlaw. Times were not the best for whisky producers and despite the support of a corporation as powerful as Seagram, Willowbank stopped distilling in 1997. The New Zealand Malt Whisky Company was soon formed and took over the remaining 80,000 litres of stock, which it now offers as Milford Single Malt. The Milford 15 year old presented here is a limited edition small batch from 2004.
