Product description
Amrut Distilleries Ltd is headquartered in Bangalore and produces approximately 50 million bottles of distilled spirits annually, mainly rum, brandy, gin, vodka and local blended whisky.
In addition to the distillation columns, the plant has one pair of small stills capable of distilling about 200 thousand liters of spirit per year. Single malt Amrut debuted in 2004 and is currently available in 20 countries. The hot and humid climate accelerates maturation, but also increases the so-called Angel's share, even up to 14% per year, which is why the whisky is usually aged for 2-3 years. Amrut Peated Cask Strength was included in the offer in 2008, the bottle presented here comes from batch no. 13, bottled in March 2014. The whisky was distilled from Scottish barley malt with a concentration of phenol compounds of 23 ppm.
