Product description
The Reisetbauer Distillery, built in 1994, is located in northern Austria, near Linz. Its owner, Hans Reisetbauer, planted several hectares of apple trees four years earlier with the intention of producing eau-de-vie.
He began distilling whisky in 1995 and its result is a 100% Austrian single malt – produced from barley grown on his own farm and aged in barrels from Austrian vineyards. Reisetbauer 15 years old Single Cask is a whisky that matured in a barrel from Trockenbeerenauslese, an expensive dessert wine produced, like Tokaji, from grapes infected with noble rot. Reisetbauer distills around 20 thousand liters of spirit for whisky production each year.
