Product description
Teerenpeli Distillery was established in 2002 in Lahti on the initiative of Anssi Pyysing, in the building where the family ran the Taivaanrata restaurant.
The new distillery, equipped with traditional Scottish-made stills, began operating in 2015 and has increased the company's production capacity to over 100,000 litres of alcohol per year. The whisky is aged for a minimum of three years in bourbon, sherry and port casks. Kaski, which debuted in 2013 as part of the Distiller's Choice series, is a spirit that has matured exclusively in sherry casks for around six years. In 2017, the whisky won a bronze medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition. Its name loosely translates to "new beginning" and refers to the preparation of fallow land for cultivation.
