Product description
Glenmorangie Nectar D’Òr was introduced in 2007, three years after the Macdonald family sold Glenmorangie plc to Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy for £300 million.
The whisky is aged in white American oak barrels then finished in Sauternes casks. Until 2011 Nectar D’Òr was offered without age statement; that changed in 2011, when the company replaced it with 12 years old. In 2019 however the age destination was dropped with the minor change of presentation. Nectar D’Òr has been one of three core finishes for the last 12 years; the other two are Lasanta (finished in sherry casks) and Quinta Ruban (finished in port casks). Perhaps not everyday whisky Nectar D’Òr is a perfect match for blue cheese, works perfect with double shot of espresso as well.
