Product description
The Glen Garioch Distillery has officially been in existence since 1797, however local records show a distillery producing whisky on the property in 1785.
The distillery is currently owned by Morrison Bowmore Distilleries, which has been fully controlled by Japanese conglomerate Suntory since 1994. In the years 1908-1937, the distillery was owned by William Sanderson & Son, who used the distillate to create their own VAT 69 blend . The 8-year-old version was part of the company's core offering from the late 1970s to the beginning of the new century, and the bottle presented here comes from the late 1990s and contains whisky aged almost exclusively in bourbon barrels.
