Balvenie Golden Cask 14-letni / 47,5% / 0,7l

Balvenie Golden Cask was released in 2009 in limited quantities exclusively for Travel Retail customers.

The whisky was aged in ex-bourbon barrels, then transferred into puncheons that have been used for mellowing Caribbean gold rum for the final years of maturation. Golden Cask never made into distillery’s core range, it was available in duty free outlets until 2013.

Nose: sweet and fruity, mango, oranges, coconut, honey, vanilla and sweet pastry.

Palate: sweet and spicy, breakfast cereal, milk chocolate, fruitcake, cinnamon, hints of fennel and licorice.

Finish: long and warming, initially honey vanilla sweetness, later oaky and spicy.
