Product description
The name Glenfarclas translates from the Gaelic to "valley of green grass". The distillery was established in 1836 and has been owned by the Grant family since 1865.
It is equipped with three pairs of stills and its production capacity is 3.4 million liters of alcohol per year. The 8-year-old version, the youngest in the distillery's offer, hit the market in 2007 and was recently withdrawn from it. This young Glenfarclas shows a much lower intensity of sherry tones, to which we are accustomed in older versions.
Aroma: fruity-malty, slightly floral, cooked pears and plums, vanilla, honey, apple orchard covered in blossoms and light nutty notes.
Taste : sweet, fruity, apples and pears, quince jelly, delicate sherry tones, milk chocolate and toffee.
Finish: medium long, mild, fruit salad with a pinch of spices.
