Product description
Benrinnes Distillery is located in the heart of Speyside, close to the Aberlour distillery. Benrinnes produces a rich malt spirit, but almost all of its production is used to blend spirits , mainly J&B, Johnnie Walker and Crawford's.
The 15 year old whisky presented here was the first officially bottled version of Benrinnes, part of the Flora and Fauna series, withdrawn from the market a few years ago to the dismay of consumers. In our opinion, Benrinnes is one of the most underrated single malts .
Nose: rich and integrated, raisins, dried fruit, chocolate, freshly ground coffee, toffee, traces of sherry and peat smoke.
Taste : balanced, dark chocolate with nuts, dried plums, apricots, gingerbread, licorice, notes of oak and peat.
Finish: long and soothing, the sweetness of toffee and honey combined with the bitterness of oak and a hint of sherry.
