Strathmill 12-year-old Flora & Fauna / 43% / 0.7l
- Strathmill Distillery has been a main malt supplier for the J&B brand since the 1960s. That certainly explains why the official releases of Strathmill single malt have been so scarce.
Product description
Since the early 1960s, Strathmill Distillery has been the main supplier of malt spirits for J&B blends, which of course explains why the supply of single malt there is so minimal.
The Flora & Fauna series debuted in the early 1990s at the initiative of United Distillers (later Diageo). It consisted of single malts from the lesser-known distilleries of the concern, working for the needs of blends from its portfolio. Strathmill was included in 2001, after UD merged with Grand Metropolitan and the creation of Diageo. The series labels feature an image of a representative of flora or fauna living in the vicinity of the distillery. In the case of Strathmill, it is the white wagtail.
