Cardhu Gold Reserve / 40% / 0.7l

For decades, the Cardhu distillery has offered one official edition, 12 years old.

The second decade of the new century has enriched the offer with 15-, 18- and 21-year-old whiskies and a pair without an age statement – ​​Amber Rock and Gold Reserve. The latter debuted in 2014 and is composed of distillates aged in traditional oak barrels, the interiors of which were subjected to high temperatures.

Nose:  sweet and fruity, apples, apricots, grapes, vanilla, honey, toffee and a delicate trace of ginger.

Palate:  fruity, apples, toffee, biscuits, cinnamon, honey and quite strong oak notes.

Finish:  medium long, milk chocolate, caramel complemented by the bitterness of oak.
