Product description
Yukon Jack is a liqueur with a somewhat mysterious history composed based on Canadian whisky.
It appeared in the States in the 1970s in the offer of Heublein Inc., an importer and distributor of food products and alcoholic beverages. In 1982, Hublein Inc. was acquired by RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co., and five years later by Grand Metropolitan; the latter merged with Guinness in 1997 to create Diageo. In 2018, Diageo sold the rights to Yukon Jack and a dozen other brands to the privately held Sazerac Company of New Orleans for $550 million. Yukon Jack is currently produced at Valleyfield Distillery in Quebec. The brand's patron is probably the 19th-century gold prospector Jack McQuesten, who was exploring the Yukon at the time. The Yukon Jack Apple presented here is a blend of blended Canadian whisky and "natural apple flavors" bottled at 50% abv.
