Crown Royal Whisky debuted in 1939. It was a luxury blend, the creation of Samuel Bronfman, owner of Seagram, created to celebrate the visit to Canada of King George VI and his daughter, the future Queen Elizabeth II.
Crown Royal is currently the best-selling Canadian whisky with over 8 million cases sold annually (2020). In recent years, the brand's owner, Diageo, has significantly expanded the brand, including both luxury editions such as XR and Cornerstone Blend, as well as rye whiskies (Northern Harvest Rye) and flavored whiskies (Maple and Regal Apple). Crown Royal Peach debuted in late 2019. It is a standard Crown Royal blend with the addition of peach "flavoring" obtained by squeezing and straining the juice of ripe fruit from Georgia and bottled with the alcohol content reduced to 35%.
Aroma : fresh peaches, peach bun, vanilla cake, a pinch of spices and a trace of oak.
Taste : sweet, peaches (in various shapes and forms), sweet bread, traces of cinnamon, vanilla and oak.
Finish: medium long, soft, tones of peach, a pinch of spices and oak tannins.
