Product description
John Distilleries Ltd has been producing blended whisky since 1992 and malt whisky since 2008.
While blends do not meet the European Union standards reserved for whisky (they are blended on a sugar molasses basis), single malts, which reached the old continent in 2012, have gained a lot of supporters. They are distilled from barley grown at the foot of the Himalayas and aged in an underground, air-conditioned warehouse and a standard, above-ground one. Paul John Brilliance is the company's proposal from early 2013, an unpeated whisky, distilled from 6-row barley and aged for 3 to 5 years in bourbon barrels.
Nose : malt, brown sugar, buttered toast, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, mango, pineapple, white pepper and a bit of oak.
Palate : sweet and spicy, vanilla, caramel, breakfast cereals with nuts, baked apples, mango, white pepper, nutmeg, traces of cocoa and oak.
Finish: medium long, with notes of vanilla, honey, roasted nuts and a hint of pepper.
