Pendleton Whisky is a proposal of Hood River Distillers, the oldest producer of alcoholic beverages in the state of Oregon (established in 1934). It is a Canadian blended whisky diluted on site with mountain water and bottled there.
In April 2016, the company offered a "military" edition, commonly known as "Armed Forces," dedicated to American soldiers wounded in service. This edition is published in cooperation with the Paralyzed Veterans of America, whose account was credited with a portion of the profits from the sale. The author of the graphic design of the edition is Noah Currier, a marine paralyzed as a result of wounds sustained in Iraq, who after undergoing therapy with PVA is able to function and run his own business.
Aroma : light and sweet, cotton candy, caramel, whipped cream, maple syrup, honey, a bit of vanilla and cinnamon.
Taste : consistent with the aroma, sweet cereal, caramel, vanilla, milk fudge, sugared peanuts, a pinch of cinnamon and a hint of oak.
Finish : not too long, with notes of caramel, maple syrup, vanilla and a bit of oak bitterness.
