Product description
Crown Royal whisky made its grand debut in 1939 on the occasion of the Canadian visit of King George VI and his daughter Elizabeth, the current Queen Elizabeth II.
Since 2001, the brand has been owned by Diageo, and with annual sales of 6.8 million cases, it is the second most popular whisky in the group's portfolio after Johnnie Walker. Crown Royal is extremely popular in its native Canada and the States, and Diageo constantly offers new editions. Black is a proposal from 2010, composed largely of distillates aged in new, heavily charred American oak barrels. While the standard version hits the market with an alcohol content of 40%, in the case of Black it is 45%.
