Crown Royal has led the popularity statistics of Canadian whisky for years, with global sales exceeding 9 million cases in 2021.

In the new century, the brand owner, Diageo, has significantly expanded its offer, both in the premium segment and in the so-called "Flavored Whiskies" segment, i.e. enriched with various flavors. The Crown Royal Extra Rare presented here is in the super-premium category. It is a blend of whisky distilled according to three different formulas (Crown Royal has five of them) in Gimli (Manitoba), aged for at least 18 years in both new, charred barrels and refill barrels. The classic bottle, resembling the shape of a royal crown, rests in a purple velvet bag and an elegant case of a similar color.

Aroma: subtle, dry rose petals, vanilla, toffee, peaches, apricots, mango, cinnamon, a touch of ginger, fresh wholemeal and toasted oak.

Taste : well-balanced, caramel, vanilla, honey, cherries, peaches, banana cake, nougat, cinnamon, candied ginger, white pepper and oak.

Finish: medium long, creamy, with notes of vanilla, brown sugar, apples, cherries, allspice, white pepper and oak.
