The Ultimate Whisky Company is a Dutch company based in Amersfoort.
Founded in 1994 by Han and Maurice van Wees, it initially specialised in miniature editions. The Ultimate range of whiskies is bottled in natural colour, without chill filtration, either in cask strength or at 46% ABV. Since 1994, over 1,000 editions of whiskies have been released under the Ultimate banner. The Inchgower presented here was distilled on 18 September 2007 and aged in hogshead cask (American oak) no. 801385 for over 14 years. The whisky was bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration in August 2022. Diageo's Inchgower Distillery produces over 3 million litres of distillate per year. The whisky is a key component of Bell's blends.
Aroma: barley malt, vanilla, honey toast, milk fudge, lemon jam, grapefruit, mirabelle plums, white pepper, potpourri and oak notes.
Palate: sweet breakfast cereals, vanilla, honey, green apples, grapefruits, lemons, white pepper, lemongrass, notes of fennel and oak.
Finish : medium long, with notes of vanilla, honey, lemon peel, grapefruit, white pepper, ginger and oak.
