- A remarkable expression of Aberlour launched in the US in the mid1990s (when the distillery was still owned by the Canadian conglomerate Seagram) and later available in Europe.
Product description
One of the hardest to find whiskies today, Aberlour debuted on the American market in the mid-1990s and later came to Europe.
It is composed of distillates aged in bourbon and sherry casks, with a predominance of the latter. It disappeared from the offer in the new century, shortly after the takeover of the distillery by the French company Pernod Ricard (previously the owner of Aberlour was Canadian Seagram). The whisky is packaged in an elegant cardboard box.
Nose: a beautiful combination of sherry, oak and high-quality leather complemented by the sweetness of honey and toasted almonds.
Taste: rich and complex, honey-roasted peanuts, dried plums and apricots, cloves, oak and a light hint of tobacco.
Finish : very long, dry, dominated by spices.
