Product description
For many years the only official edition of Cardhu was the 12 years old, with the notable exception of the 25 and 27 years old included in the Rare Malts series in 1998 and 2000.
The new century brought a lot of competition to the single malt market in the form of hundreds, even thousands, of new editions, and none of the leading brands wanted to remain outside the mainstream. Cardhu 15 years old debuted in 2011 and has become a permanent part of the company's core offering.
Aroma: sweet, fruity, apples, raisins, caramel, toffee, candied orange peel, traces of nutmeg.
Taste: initially very sweet, caramel, crème brûlée, honey, dried fruit, figs, raisins, with a delicate bitterness of oak, ginger and nutmeg in the end.
