- Glenlossie may not be widely known distillery but it is a major contributor to Diageo’s blends, especially the Haig’s brand.
Product description
Glenlossie is probably not the most famous Scottish distillery, but it is incredibly important for the Diageo portfolio of blends, especially the Haig's brand.
The plant was built by a group of private investors in 1876, and currently equipped with three pairs of stills, it can produce over 3.7 million liters of distillate per year. The last widely available official edition of Glenlossie was the 10-year-old in the Flora & Fauna series, and independent publishers rarely include it in their offers. The Glenlossie 12 years old presented here is part of The Un-chillfiltered Collection series by Signatory Vintage. Distilled on April 14, 2009, the whisky was aged in two first-fill bourbon barrels (no. 3378 + 3379) and bottled on January 6, 2022 at 46% abv and without chill filtration.
