Product description
Longmorn is a large distillery in Speyside, equipped with four pairs of stills, producing around 4.5 million litres of distillate annually. However, Longmorn single malt is almost ignored in sales statistics, due to its key role in the formulas of a few super premium blends - Chivas Regal 18 years old and Chivas Royal Salute. Whisky connoisseurs often call Longmorn "the hidden treasure of Speyside", and blenders rank it among the top single malts. These facts probably decided to include Longmorn in the prestigious "Secret Speyside" series (three versions were released - 18, 23 and 25 years old). The Longmorn 18 years old Double Cask Matured presented here was aged in American oak and hogshead casks and bottled at 48% abv, without chill filtration. In 2020, this whisky won a gold medal at the International Spirit Challenge.
