For every whisky lover, Samaroli is synonymous with the highest quality and beauty. Silvano Samaroli began his career in the whisky market in 1968 and immediately focused on single cask editions.
In 2008, Samaroli left the management of the company in the hands of Antonio Bleve, but he himself played an active role until his death in February 2017. The Samaroli brand remains one of the market leaders, and the barrels are currently selected by Antonio Bleve and Francesco Saverio Binetti. The Miltonduff 2009 presented here was aged in barrel no. 900061 for almost a decade and bottled at 43% abv in September 2018 in an edition of 506 bottles.
Aroma : bouquet of wild flowers, breakfast cereals, vanilla, white chocolate, apples, pears, orange peel, yeast cake, damp hay and straw.
Palate: mild, vanilla, powdered sugar, honeyed cereals, pears, greengages, grapefruit, lemon jam, roasted sesame seeds, mint leaf and oak.
Finish : medium long, with notes of vanilla, toffee, sweet bread, orange peel, a touch of licorice and oak.
