Product description
WhistlePig rye whiskey debuted in 2010 and caused a minor earthquake in the world of whiskey connoisseurs.
The WhistlePig brand was created by investment banker Raja Bhakta and former Maker's Mark master distiller Dave Pickerell, and the 100% rye whiskey was distilled by Alberta Distillery in Canada. In 2016, the oldest edition of WhistlePig was released. This time, the Alberta distillate finished its maturation in charred barrels made from Vermont oaks on the WhistlePig farm. Due to the harsh winters, Vermont oaks are more hard, which slows down the penetration of the wood by the distillate and is reflected in the palette of the drink.
