Wild Turkey Kentucky Straight Bourbon was introduced in 2016 as a replacement to Wild Turkey 81 (the same year the company redesigned packaging of the entire range).
Although bottled without age statement the whiskeys used for that edition are aged on average for six to eight years. Wild Turkey bourbon is distilled from mash composed of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley and matures in char # 4 barrels. Since 2009 Wild Turkey Distillery and the brand has been owned by Gruppo Campari, who soon doubled production to 11 million liters of spirit per annum. The brand annual sales crossed 1.5 million cases mark in 2017 (the number includes Wild Turkey American Honey).
