Product description
RoughStock Distillery was founded by Kari and Bryan Schultz in Bozeman, Montana near Yellowstone National Park in 2005.
It is the first legal distillery in Montana since prohibition and the first distillery to make whiskey in Montana in over 100 years. The distillery is equipped with a single pair of pot stills and produces bourbon, malt, corn and wheat whiskey. RoughStock Montana Sweet Corn Whiskey is double distilled in copper pot still from 100% food-grade sweet yellow corn and left to mellow for two weeks before bottling at 50% abv. In 2017 the distillery owners lost their lease and we are not certain if RoughStock Distillery is currently in operation.
Nose: sweet and slightly spirity, cornflakes, grilled corn on the cob and hints of butter.
Palate: follows the nose, smooth and warming, buttered popcorn, cornbread and touch of aniseed.
