Maker's Mark Bourbon Whiskey / 45% / 0.7l
Product description
Bourbon Maker's Mark is a 1950s creation by Bill Samuels Sr., with contributions from Julian "Pappy" Van Winkle and Ernest Ripy.
After countless experiments, a formula of 70% corn, 16% winter wheat and 14% malted barley was chosen. Maker's Mark debuted in 1958 and remained unknown until an article in the Wall Street Journal in August 1980. Today, it is one of the iconic bourbons with annual sales of over 1.5 million cases. Its name is the idea of Margie Samuels, William's wife and a collector of pewter vessels, which were always decorated with a "maker 's mark" . Maker's Mark is produced in Loretto, Kentucky, and is owned today by Beam Suntory.
