Product description
Rye whiskey was the category that declined most in popularity in the second half of the 20th century.
The lack of demand was offset by minimal supply, and only three American commercial distilleries (Jim Beam, Heaven Hill, and Wild Turkey) faithfully distilled whiskey, albeit for just a few days a year, from a rye mash. The new millennium brought a complete change of fortune, but it took several years for producers to even slightly rebuild their stocks. Wild Turkey Straight Rye is a classic of the genre. Its formula lists 51% rye, 37% corn, and 12% malted barley. In 2017, global sales of the Wild Turkey brand (including Wild Turkey American Honey) exceeded 1.5 million cases.
