Product description
Maker's Mark Bourbon, the creation of Bill Samuels Sr., debuted in 1958. Julian "Pappy" Van Winkle and Ernest Ripy (Wild Turkey) also contributed to the formula (70% corn, 16% winter wheat, and 14% malted barley).
Bill Sr. retired in 1981, leaving the distillery to his son, Bill Jr., who would serve as Maker's Mark's CEO for the next 30 years. In 2011, Bill Jr. handed over the reins to his son Robert and assumed the title of "Chairman Emeritus of Maker's Mark." The limited edition of Maker's Mark (18,000 bottles) presented here features a label featuring three generations of Samuels, signed by Bill Jr. and Rob. Proceeds from the sale of this edition benefited 21st Century Parks in Louisville and the local Habitat for Humanity.
