Product description
Glenburgie Distillery (originally Kilnflat Distillery) was built in 1810 and is based in Speyside.
Since 2005, it has been owned by Chivas Bros., a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard. This medium-sized facility, equipped with three pairs of stills, produces over 4.2 million litres of distillate per year. For decades, Glenburgie single malt has played a key role in Ballantine's blends, which is why it is rarely offered by independent publishers. The Gordon & MacPhail Reserve edition presented here was distilled on 22nd October 1991 and aged in a refill sherry hogshead cask (no. 10849) for 16 years. Bottled in April 2008 at cask strength (58.2% abv) in an edition of 225 bottles.
