Product description
Daviess County Distilling Company was established in 1874 and operated until 1919, when the Kentucky state government banned the distribution of alcoholic beverages.
In the 1990s, the rights to the Daviess County Distilling name were purchased by Luxco Inc., but we had to wait until 2019 for this bourbon to return to the market. The current Daviess County bourbon is a combination of two formulas – rye and wheat bourbon, aged for four years in freshly charred American oak barrels. The edition presented here was finished in Californian Cabernet Sauvignon barrels for six months. In January 2019, Luxco, along with its Lux Row Distillers, was acquired by MGP Ingredients from Indiana for $475 million.
