Product description
“Modern” Bulleit Bourbon debuted in 1987 by Tom Bulleit, great-great-grandson of Augustus Bulleit, who introduced it to the market around 1830.
In 1997, the brand was acquired by Seagram, and since 2001 it has been part of the Diageo portfolio. Bulleit is a so-called sourced bourbon, (only on March 14, 2017 Diageo officially opened the Bulleit Distillery in Shelby County, Kentucky), we know that until recently it was distilled by Four Roses Distillery, who is the current producer of the distillate remains a secret. The formula of the "modern" Bulleit lists 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% barley malt and differs significantly from the original (2/3 rye and 1/3 corn). Bulleit 10 years old appeared on the market in 2013 and remains part of the company's permanent offer.
