Product description
Woodford Reserve has been ”Official Bourbon of the Kentucky Derby” since 1999 (the Derby is held annually in Louisville on the first Saturday in May at the end of two-week long Kentucky Derby Festival.
In 2020 however, due to COVID-19 it took place on September 5). Each year Woodford Reserve releases a special Derby-themed bottling; they are being released in limited quantities and are sought by collectors. Each bottle features a different label portraying an image of the race. The special release presented here celebrates the 146th Kentucky Derby, which took place in 2020. The bottle features the artwork of Louisville artist Richard Sullivan, a former Atlanta Braves baseball player. His watercolor image is of thoroughbreds as they thunder towards the finish line, with the famed Twin Spires of Churchill Downs in the background.
