Product description
Mortlach, the first of seven distilleries built in Dufftown (1823), has been associated with Johnnie Walker blends for almost a century.
The distillery became the property of Johnnie Walker & Sons in 1923, and its whisky became the key to the Black Label formula. In the 1980s, United Distillers considered placing Mortlach as the Speyside representative in its epochal Classic Malts series, but Cragganmore took the honour. In 2018, Mortlach Distillery introduced a new range, featuring three versions – 12, 16 and 20 years old. The Distiller's Dram 16 years old presented here is a blend of distillates aged in American and European oak sherry casks, both first and refill.
