Product description
The 20th century marked a period of success for William Grant & Sons and their Glenfiddich Distillery.
In the early 1960s, the company adopted a strategy of promoting its single malt whisky worldwide outside Scotland, and by the end of the century Glenfiddich held 35% of the global market for this whisky. As we read on the label, "in 1984, specially selected casks were placed in a designated warehouse to reach peak maturation at the beginning of the new millennium." Glenfiddich 1984 Reserve was released in 2000, after spending 15 years in the aforementioned casks.
