Currently Jim Beam is part of Beam Suntory, the third-largest producer of alcoholic beverages in the world. The company produces whiskeys in two Kentucky distilleries, Clermont and Boston; the latter was renamed Booker Noe Distillery in 2015. In the last decade, the Jim Beam brand has been extended with alcoholic beverages based on its whiskeys, bottled below 40% abv, the legal minimum alcohol content for the whiskey category. They are marketed as ‘Flavored Whiskey Drinks’ and enjoy steadily growing popularity. Jim Beam Hot Punch is made of Jim Beam bourbon mixed with Christmas spices and fruits. It makes a perfect choice for cold winter nights when served hot.
Nose: cinnamon, clove, ginger, dried apples and pears, prunes, nicely balanced with bourbon notes.
Palate: warming, apple pie dusted with cinnamon, clove, ginger, nutmeg and hints of caramel.
Finish: medium long, with all Christmas flavors.
