Jack Wiebers (Lars-Göran Wiebers) is a German whisky importer and distributor based in Berlin (the official name of the company is Jack Wiebers Whisky World).
Wiebers began his career in 1999 and soon established a reputation as a great selector and publisher of whiskies. His portfolio includes several series, including Whisky Castle (discontinued in 2013), Old Train Line, Prenzlow Portfolio Collecton, Great Ocean Liners, The Old Paddle Steamer and Wanted (the latter reserved for the Bowmore single malt). The Miltonduff presented here, distilled in 2007, aged in bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength (62% abv), found its place in The Old Paddle Steamer collection. The edition consisted of 162 bottles.
Aroma: spring meadow, vanilla, sponge cake, coconut flakes, milk fudge, peaches, cantaloupe, lemon grass, traces of tobacco and oak.
Taste : fruity with a light spiciness, apples, gooseberries, peaches, vanilla, toffee, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, notes of anise and oak.
Finish : medium long, with notes of summer fruits, vanilla, toffee, sweet bread, cinnamon, white pepper and oak.
