Product description
Blanton's is the first bourbon bottled in a single barrel version (it debuted in 1984).
Its patron is Albert B. Blanton, whose distilling career spanned 1897-1953, and its end was celebrated by the renaming of the distillery to Albert B. Blanton Distillery, a name it used until 1969. It is currently called Buffalo Trace, although at the time of its debut Blanton's Bourbon operated as Ancient Age Distillery. The idea of the single barrel is attributed to Blanton, who personally selected the barrels of whiskey and served them to guests. They always came from warehouse H, the only metal warehouse on the distillery premises, whose thin walls make the temperature and humidity almost identical to those outside, which creates the most natural environment for maturing whiskey. The Straight from the Barrel version appeared at the beginning of the new century and is offered only in the Travel Retail network and for export.
