Product description
Label 5 is a blended Scotch whisky from the portfolio of the French company La Martiniquaise. It debuted in 1969 and currently holds the ninth position on the list of the most popular Scotch whiskies with annual global sales of about 30 million bottles.
The blend formula is built around the single malt Glen Moray; in 2008 La Martiniquaise bought Glen Moray Distillery from Glenmorangie plc and within a few years doubled its production capacity. The grain whisky is supplied by Starlaw Distillery (also called Glen Turner Distillery) built in 2010 in West Lothian by a French company. The Extra Rare edition, a premium version of Label 5 made from components aged for at least 18 years, debuted in 2013. Label 5 is available in over a hundred countries, and is of course most popular in France.
