Product description
Invergordon Distillery is the only grain distillery based in the Scottish Highlands.
The plant was built in 1959 and equipped with one distillation column, two more were installed in 1963, and finally the fourth, the largest, in 1978. It currently belongs to Whyte & Mackay, which in turn has been owned by the Filipino Emperador Inc. since 2014. Most of the production goes to Whyte & Mackay blends. The Invergordon 2002 Vintage presented here is a proposal of Douglas Laing & Co. in the Old Particular series. The whisky distilled in October 2002 spent less than two decades in a refill butt cask (no. DL 15428). In November 2021, its contents translated into 781 bottles of whisky with an ABV of 48.4%. The whisky was bottled with a natural color and without chill filtration.
