Cameronbridge Distillery was founded in 1824 by John Haig, then just 21 years old, and remains the oldest grain distillery is Scotland. Currently it is owned by Diageo and after expansion completed in 2012 can produce 120 million liters of spirit per annum (that means mashing 4000 tons of grain a week). The distillery provides grain whisky for all major Diageo blends and that includes Johnnie Walker, Bell’s, J&B, Black & White and VAT 69. Cameron Brig, a single grain expression from the distillery, enjoys rather limited supply, due to recently launched aggressive marketing campaign for Haig’s Club, another single grain whisky from the distillery.
